Collagen is the fibrous structural protein that makes up the white fibers of skin, tendon, bone, ligaments, muscles, vital organs and all other connective tissues. Collagen is the most abundant protein in mammals, about 40% of collagen in the body is found in the inner skin. About 70% of our skin is made of Collagen and in total about 30% of our body is Collagen. Collagen fibers are woven together like pieces of fabric to form a network in which new cell grow and reproduce.
The body's production of collagen slows with aging. Its degradation leads to wrinkles and tiny lines that accompany aging. The lack of collagen production and collagen damage gets our attention as strains and sprains become more severe. Also the symptoms of arthralgia can be developed, and blood vessel and joints may harden by the lack of collagen production. High blood pressure and weak bones become more problematic.
As we get older, our connective tissue and muscle tissue breaks down due to an increase in collagen deficiency and damage. As a result, we experience a weakening of our skeletal structure. It is vital to the body's functioning and the body's use of collagen can not be overstated. Collagen should be taken in from selected food sources and also vitamin C and iron are essential for collagen to return to normal.
After extensive research recently, it is proved that regular intake of essential proteins, vitamin C and collagen may prevent aging, pains and symptoms affected by the lack of collagen.
Benefits of Collagen
• Anti-aging and anti wrinkles
• Eliminating freckles
• Increasing joint pliability and reducing pains
• Preventing alopecia and promoting healthy hair |
